Shane Corston

Since 2006, Shane has been a key member of the leadership team at RSG. Shane is in charge of the identification and recruitment of future athletes and the support of their development in Western Canada/Western U.S. The evidence of his work in supporting athletes is demonstrated through the many of them who have reached their ultimate goal of playing in the NHL and other top leagues throughout the world. From first and second round NHL picks to undrafted signed players, the athletes he supports with the RSG team consistently achieve.


Shane’s background in hockey includes scouting at the minor pro and WHL levels and coaching and recruiting at the Junior A level. He has been a part of a Western Hockey League Championship, an Alberta Junior Hockey League Championship, and a Northern Ontario Junior ‘A’ Hockey Championship. Originally from Ontario, Shane lived in New Brunswick where he played university hockey, was a league all-star, team MVP, and earned an NHL free agent tryout contract.


Shane has Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees from St. Thomas University and a Masters of Education degree from the University of Lethbridge. He currently resides in Salmon Arm, British Columbia with his two daughters, Taylor and Makenna close by.

Marc Lavigne

Before entering the agency business, Marc Lavigne spent ten years coaching, receiving degrees in levels from midget to junior. Marc was a founder of an expansion Midget AAA team in Chateauguay, where he acted as V-P of Hockey for three years. In the first year of Marc’s Midget AAA team, they won the Provincial Championship and represented Quebec at the Telus Cup.


Marc attended Loyola High School, Champlain College, and McGill. In 2003, he became the youngest municipal in the history of his city. Marc is married to Sonya Leduc and his son Andrew is a strength coach to several RSG Hockey clients.

Jeff Boston

Since joining RSG Hockey in 2007, Jeff has utilized a continually growing network of amateur and professional contacts to recruit and support players with professional aspirations in the United States and Ontario.


Before entering the agency business, Jeff spent time working with a talent management firm as an artist representative and talent buyer.

Jeff currently resides in Buffalo, NY with his young family. Jeff attended Carlinville High School and Southern Illinois University.

Cory Conacher

Cory Conacher is a seasoned professional hockey player from Burlington, Ontario, known for his dynamic offensive skill, determination, and perseverance. After playing collegiate hockey at Canisius College—where he became the program’s all-time leading scorer—Cory launched a successful professional career that spanned multiple leagues and continents.


He broke into the NHL with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2012 and went on to play for several NHL teams, including the Ottawa Senators, Buffalo Sabres, and New York Islanders. Cory also built an impressive international resume, playing in Switzerland’s National League and other European leagues, earning accolades for his leadership and playmaking abilities.

Conacher’s journey through professional hockey is marked by his resilience and passion for the game, overcoming physical adversity and thriving in high-pressure environments. Off the ice, he is recognized for his mentorship qualities, making him a valued addition to any team—both on and off the ice.
Cory brings a wealth of experience, global perspective, and a tireless work ethic to his role with RSG Hockey. His insight and dedication will be instrumental in driving success and development across the organization.

Eric Soltys

Eric Soltys joined RSG Hockey in 2025, bringing over 25 years of experience in elite coaching, scouting, and player development. With a career that spans both the NHL and top-tier amateur programs, Eric offers clients a unique blend of on-ice insight, strategic planning, and high-performance mentorship.

He spent nine seasons as an NHL scout with the Detroit Red Wings and Calgary Flames, contributing to talent identification and organizational development at the highest level of the game. Prior to his scouting career, Eric held coaching roles with several championship-caliber programs, including the University of Maine Black Bears (NCAA), the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies (CHL), and U.S. prep school powerhouses Shattuck-St. Mary’s and South Kent Selects Academy, the latter of which he co-founded. His coaching tenure includes multiple league championships and two National Championships, and he has played an instrumental role in developing dozens of athletes who have advanced to the NHL.

As a Performance Coach and Consultant at RSG, Eric focuses on integrating analytical data, personalized player development, and holistic wellness strategies. He works with a broad range of clients, from high-potential youth prospects to AHL and NHL veterans, tailoring performance plans to maximize growth and longevity in the game.

In addition to his development work, Eric also serves as a trusted consultant on NCAA and NIL matters, guiding players and families through the increasingly complex collegiate landscape with clarity, strategy, and a deep understanding of the system.

Eric’s expertise, reputation, and hands-on approach make him a vital asset to RSG and to the players he mentors.

Matt Donnelly

Matt Donnelly brings a sharp eye for talent and a deep understanding of the modern game to his role as a Scout at RSG Hockey. With a background rooted in both player development and competitive hockey environments, Matt is dedicated to identifying and supporting elite prospects at every stage of their journey.

His role focuses on evaluating players across North America, building trusted relationships within the hockey community, and providing detailed insights that help guide the future of RSG’s athlete roster. Matt’s ability to combine objective analysis with a strong instinct for character and potential makes him a valuable asset to the team.

A lifelong student of the game, Matt is committed to helping the next generation of athletes reach their highest level, both on and off the ice.

William Bujold

July 10th, 2025

William recently joined RSG as a Quebec Consultant, bringing valuable experience from his time as a Regional Scout in the QMJHL, where he was part of a championship-winning season with the Moncton Wildcats.

An MBA graduate, William combines a strong business acumen with a rapidly expanding network in the hockey community. In his role at RSG, he will support recruitment and scouting efforts while also serving as a key resource for our clients based in Quebec.

He is currently based in Chambly, QC.
