Allain Roy

A member of the 1994 silver medal Canadian Olympic team and RSG Hockey’s president, Allain Roy serves as the personal representative of clients, responsible for enhancing their professional careers as well as their life after professional sports.

A graduate of Harvard University, Allain was the goalie of Harvard’s NCAA National Championship team (1988-89), a member of the 1988-89 NCAA All-Tournament Team, an All-American finalist (1991-92) and a member of the 1993 World Championship Team. A 1989 fourth round draft pick of the Winnipeg Jets, Allain had a brief NHL callup in 1993 before joining the Canadian Olympic team. He played for Jokerit, the Finnish Elite Champions, the Saginaw Wheels and the Kapfenberg Tigers (Austrian League). He had acareer .904 save percentage.

After leaving hockey, Allain became president of Crimson Marketing and Management Group, the parent company of eGroupManager, Gateway Medicard, LLC, and CMG Sports. From ’97 to ’99 Allain served as VP of Operations for the St. Louis Vipers In-Line Hockey Club, the 1999 RHI Champions. In 2015, Roy rebranded CMG Sports into Roy Sports Group, also known as RSG Hockey.

A native of Campbellton, New Brunswick, Allain is fluent in both French and English.

Allain has used a combination of his extensive business and hockey knowledge to make RSG Hockey into one of the most forward thinking and fast growing agencies in the hockey world.

As a NHLPA certified agent, Allain has negotiated hundreds of contracts at all league levels. As a family advisor, Allain has also assisted many families in determining individual clients’ optimal route in hockey, and life.

Brent Putz

With over 15 years of comprehensive advisory experience, Brent counsels and advises clients on nearly every aspect of their personal lifestyles and professional careers. Whether he’s offering guidance on financial planning to a professional athlete or coaching an executive through a material career change, Brent has developed a reputation for positively impacting the lives of his clients and their family members.

His priority on relationship-building coupled with his financial management skills have earned him credibility within the sports and entertainment arena. Brent and Team continue to serve clients across North America and Europe, which has proven to show the impact of the Personal Office Experience.

Brent resides in the Suburbs of Minneapolis with his wife and 3 Children. When he is not Meeting with Clients, Traveling or Taking in a Sporting Event, Brent enjoys spending his free time with family and friends. He earned a degree in Business and Financial Management from Saint Johns University.

Shane Corston

Since 2006, Shane has been a key member of the leadership team at RSG. Shane is in charge of the identification and recruitment of future athletes and the support of their development in Western Canada/Western U.S. The evidence of his work in supporting athletes is demonstrated through the many of them who have reached their ultimate goal of playing in the NHL and other top leagues throughout the world. From first and second round NHL picks to undrafted signed players, the athletes he supports with the RSG team consistently achieve.


Shane’s background in hockey includes scouting at the minor pro and WHL levels and coaching and recruiting at the Junior A level. He has been a part of a Western Hockey League Championship, an Alberta Junior Hockey League Championship, and a Northern Ontario Junior ‘A’ Hockey Championship. Originally from Ontario, Shane lived in New Brunswick where he played university hockey, was a league all-star, team MVP, and earned an NHL free agent tryout contract.


Shane has Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees from St. Thomas University and a Masters of Education degree from the University of Lethbridge. He currently resides in Salmon Arm, British Columbia with his two daughters, Taylor and Makenna close by.

Taylor MacDougall

Prior to joining RSG’s Legal Counsel, Taylor played five years in the QMJHL where he attended NHL training camps with the Boston Bruins and New York Rangers. Following his junior career, he attended The University of New Brunswick where he won 2 National Championships and was an Academic All-Canadian while graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Juris Doctorate from UNB Law.


Taylor went on to play professionally in the ECHL and in Europe where he received honours while attending the prestigious Edinburgh Business School. As Legal Counsel to RSG, he is part of the contract research and structuring process while overseeing all legal matters.


Taylor has lived in provinces across Canada and maintains a network of hockey-related contacts throughout North America. He currently resides in Fredericton, New Brunswick where he is an active member of the New Brunswick Bar Association.

Marc Lavigne

Before entering the agency business, Marc Lavigne spent ten years coaching, receiving degrees in levels from midget to junior. Marc was a founder of an expansion Midget AAA team in Chateauguay, where he acted as V-P of Hockey for three years. In the first year of Marc’s Midget AAA team, they won the Provincial Championship and represented Quebec at the Telus Cup.


Marc attended Loyola High School, Champlain College, and McGill. In 2003, he became the youngest municipal in the history of his city. Marc is married to Sonya Leduc and his son Andrew is a strength coach to several RSG Hockey clients.

Jeff Boston

September 19th, 2022

Since joining RSG Hockey in 2007, Jeff has utilized a continually growing network of amateur and professional contacts to recruit and support players with professional aspirations in the United States and Ontario.


Before entering the agency business, Jeff spent time working with a talent management firm as an artist representative and talent buyer.

Jeff currently resides in Buffalo, NY with his young family. Jeff attended Carlinville High School and Southern Illinois University.
